Proposed Commercial, Neighborhood Zoning District

As part of the 2020-2025 City Strategic Plan, a strategic result recommends the adoption of a land use option to the LDC that allows for Pocket Neighborhoods, which are defined as small-scale commercial developments that could be located within or on the edges of existing residential neighborhoods throughout the City. The Commercial, Neighborhood (CN) zoning district has been proposed by the planning team to achieve this goal.

Workshops to discuss the proposed CN zoning district were held with the Planning Commission and City Council in March and April of 2023, respectively. Additionally, a public hearing on the proposed CN zoning district was held during a Planning Commission meeting in May of 2023.

A public hearing regarding the proposed CN zoning district will take place at an upcoming City Council meeting on July 10, 2023 at 6 p.m. at City Council Chambers at City Hall. For additional information, email the Arvada's Planning Division or call 720-898-7435.
