The Mission of the Human Resources Department is to provide strategic partnership, workforce management and development services to all City Departments so they can have the healthy, engaged, high performing workforce they need to achieve their operational and strategic results. Our Vision is "Developing the Foundation for a Great Organization".
Organizational Overview
The City of Arvada is a superior customer-oriented organization that provides safety and protection, essential services, recreational opportunities, fiscal accountability, and strives for community enrichment and personal growth. The key to making this organization successful is having people who are dedicated to delivering superior services to enhance the lives of everyone in our community. The City's Human Resources Department (HR) is responsible for recruiting, retaining, developing, and supporting these great people. We serve as an internal consultant and strategic partner with all City departments to help them Dream Big and Deliver while promoting and fostering innovation, passion, and opportunity throughout the organization.

For verbal employment verification of a current or former City of Arvada employee, please call the Human Resources office at 720-898-7555, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
Written verification employment requests should be sent to the email of Employment Verification Division or faxed to 720-898-7556. Written verifications will be processed within 24 to 48 hours of receipt.
