Arvada Housing Authority - Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8)

The Arvada Housing Authority is currently NOT accepting applications for the Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list.

Housing Choice Voucher Program

The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program is a program that is federally regulated and funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This program offers rental assistance to very and extra low-income families, individuals, the elderly, and the disabled. This helps individuals to afford decent housing in the public market, which includes single-family homes, townhomes, and apartments. Housing assistance is provided in the form of rental subsidies. The HCV rental subsidies cover the difference between the participant's payment and the unit's market rent. Participants pay rent based on their income.

Equal Housing Opportunity

The Arvada Housing Authority does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, sexual orientation, familial status, or national origin in the admission, access to, or treatment of its federally assisted programs.
