Northey Scholarships
The W. Michael Northey Foundation awards scholarships up to $2,000 to seniors from Arvada high schools or home schooled students. Scholarship awards can be used toward tuition, fees, required books and supplies, room and board, and other qualified educational expenses.
The mission of the W. Michael Northey Foundation is to honor and preserve the memory of Officer Michael Northey by providing financial assistance to officers and their families in times of crisis and by investing in the youth of Arvada by providing scholarships to graduates of Arvada high schools. Officer Mike Northey joined the Arvada Police Department on February 20, 1978. He was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle after he stopped two motorcycle riders on August 11, 1979.
