Order Police Records
If you are a defendant in an active criminal case, your report must be obtained through the appropriate office:
Traffic Accident Reports
Available traffic accident reports can be accessed online through Traffic Accident Reports (BuyCrash).
Other Records
Requests for Police reports, background checks, photos, computer or address searches, and other documents can be made online, in person, or by mail.
By submitting a request online, you affirm that the criminal justice records obtained from the Arvada Police Department under this request will not be used for the direct solicitation of business for pecuniary gain, and also affirm that any booking photographs obtained under this request will not be placed in a publication or posted to a website that requires the payment of a fee or other exchange for pecuniary gain in order to remove or delete the booking photograph from the publication or website. See: C.R.S. § 24-72-305.5

Restrictions and Fees
- Reports relating to confidential information or open investigations are not available.
- You will be contacted prior to the release of a report if the completion of the request requires additional fees (such as for reports of more than 10 pages).
- All payments are non-refundable. Please review the Police Fee Schedule (PDF) before submitting your request.
Report requests take 5 to 7 business days to process.
Dispatch Recordings
Dispatch recordings must be requested through the Jefferson County Communications Center Authority.
