Fishing is permitted at most Arvada lakes or ponds unless otherwise posted. The Arvada Kids Fishing Contest is held in June each year at the Arvada Reservoir.
Visit the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Fishing page for information on fishing license requirements, stocking reports, and more. Fishing licenses can be purchased online, through the Colorado Parks and Wildlife mobile app, by phone, or at many retailers throughout the state.
Please note, other than worms, live aquatic bait is not allowed for fishing.
The Colorado Fishing Atlas makes it easy to find fishing locations throughout the state, locate a licensed agent, find family-friendly or accessible fishing areas, and much more! Explore the Atlas to get information on more than 1,300 fishing locations in Colorado. Colorado Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation regulations apply at all locations. Some locations, including the Arvada Reservoir, have usage fees.
