Volunteer Opportunities

Are you interested in making a positive difference in your community? Consider volunteering with the City of Arvada! We utilize volunteers in several areas of the organization, but we do not coordinate volunteers through a single application process. Please contact individual departments for more information.

Adopt-a-Street

This program gives Arvada residents an opportunity to help keep roadways in their neighborhoods clean.

  • Visit Adopt a Street to read more about the program and apply to adopt a street.
  • Email Michele Broski, Executive Assistant or call 720-898-7692 for information about streets available for adoption.

Adopt-a-Trail

This program focuses on keeping trails clean and maintained throughout Arvada.

Arvada Police Department

Periodically, the Arvada Police Department (APD) requires assistance from Arvada residents to help with administrative functions and other day-to-day operations to better utilize police personnel. Please be aware that APD volunteers are subject to a background check.

Festivals

The Arvada Festivals Commission needs volunteers for various roles at City-sponsored festivals. Events include the Kite Festival, Arvada on Tap, Movies Around Town, Arvada Days and Winter Fest.

Majestic View Nature Center

We need volunteers to help with teaching science-based school programs, hosting public hours and events, maintaining the demonstration garden, monitoring wildlife, and special projects at the Nature Center.

Reservoir Rangers

Looking to enjoy the outdoors safely while also contributing to your community? Come spend a few hours a day, a few days a week, or whatever suits your schedule at the Arvada Reservoir assisting anglers also looking to enjoy the tranquility of the lake!
