Trees and Urban Forestry

Trees are a major part of the City's infrastructure, providing beauty while supporting vital ecosystems. More than 14,000 trees on the City of Arvada property have been inventoried by the City's Forestry Team. This number represents all the trees planted in Parks, Athletic Fields, City Facilities, roadways, and many of the trees located in our Open Space Areas.

Mulch Availability

The parks team does its best to keep free mulch available (for Arvada residents) in the parking lot of the Birds Nest Disc Golf Course in West Arvada. Mulch is available on a first come first serve basis and we don't guarantee its availability.
