Residential Interior
Use this permit type to apply for certain projects. Please review the Residential Exterior web to help categorize your project.

Fences
Permits are required for all fencing in the City of Arvada.

Re-Roofing
Permits and inspections are required for residential and commercial roof replacement allowing building department staff to verify your project meets the minimum building code requirements.

Residential Exterior
Permits are required for any structure (attached or detached) being constructed on a property.

Residential Mechanical & Plumbing
Permits and inspections for residential replacements and installs of mechanical and plumbing appliances (i.e. water heater, furnace, air conditioner, etc.) are required to be approved and issued before work can be started.

Windows & Siding Installation
Permits are required to install replacement windows and siding on residential homes. If there are structural changes or egress windows being installed, you will need to apply for an Interior Remodel permit.

An Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), sometimes called an "in-law apartment" or "carriage house," is typically an additional housing unit within, or on the same lot as, a single-family home with entries and amenities that are separate from the primary residence.
