Marc Williams was first elected as a Councilmember At-Large in November of 1999 and was re-elected twice to that seat. He became Arvada’s 34th Mayor in November of 2011, and was re-elected in November of 2015 and for his final term in 2019.
Marc Began his professional career as a law clerk with the Arvada Law Firm of Sonheim and Helm in 1979. Upon receiving his law license, he became an Associate attorney, then Partner in 1987. Marc retired from Helm, Less & Williams on December 31, 2021.
Marc received his BA degree from the University of Denver in 1978 and his JD from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1981.

Marc and his wife, Luanne, enjoy their four children and eight grandchildren who all live in the metro area. They love to travel, cook, hike, ride their tandem bike, play golf and spend time with family and friends.
