Elected as Councilmember At-Large in November 2023, Ms Davis brings more than 25 years of local government experience, working for the cities of Aurora, Federal Heights, City and County of Denver and Metro Water Recovery (formerly Metro Wastewater Reclamation District). She is an accomplished Environmental Programs professional with project management and technical
skills that merge existing policies and procedures with current and promulgated compliance regulations to plan, develop and administer sustainable compliance programs that reduce risk and liability.
Sharon has spent her career in occupations that benefit Colorado – air quality, water quality and workplace safety. She has served the Front Range communities in ways that support and improve the overall environment and health of the front range communities. Understanding and respecting the framework of local governments is the strength that Sharon brings to the Arvada City Council.
Prior to joining the council in 2023, Sharon served on the council-appointed Citizen Capital Improvement Projects Committee, the Arvada Park Advisory Committee, the Arvada Charter Review Committee and the Arvada Golf Advisory Committee. She also participated in the Arvada Police Citizen Academy.
She is the daughter of a decorated US Air Force Veteran. Her father served in Korea and Vietnam. She credits her mother for instilling in her a passion for education and a curiosity for learning.
Sharon received her undergraduate education in Chemical Engineering at Colorado State University. She moved to Arvada in 2004 after marrying her husband, Rudy.
