City Conducting Donation Drive

The City of Arvada is holding a donation drive to provide urgently needed items to unhoused individuals in Arvada and the metro area. Items collected during this donation drive will be provided to either unhoused adults in Arvada or migrants to the Denver metro area.

“This is a really special opportunity to contribute to our neighbors and fellow community members in the metro area who find themselves in a challenging part of their life,” stated Neighborhood Engagement Coordinator Brady Porterfield-Finn. “Thank you to those who have already donated and those who will in the coming weeks!”

Donation bins are available at the following Arvada Police Community Stations 7 days a week, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Dec. 17.

  • City Hall/Police Headquarters (main entrance off 59th and Ammons Street.)

  • Lake Arbor Community Station (8110 Vance Dr.)

  • West Woods (6644 Kendrick Dr.)

  • Whisper Creek (14360 W. 89th Dr.)

Urgently needed cold weather items for adult unhoused individuals in Arvada include: new or gently-used adult winter coats (larger sizes preferred); new or gently-used winter accessories, such as hats, gloves and scarves; and new socks.

Urgently needed basic needs items for adult and child migrants in the Denver area include: new underwear for all ages and sizes; and new or gently-used tops for children - baby through large children's sizes.
