The Women's Awareness Defense & Empowerment (W.A.D.E) course is a free class taught by police officers, designed to provide women with fundamental awareness skills and self-defense techniques to aid in the management and prevention of assaults and encounters.

This 8-hour course is held on select Saturdays throughout the year and is available to Arvada residents or those working in Arvada. It includes a lecture and hands-on training as well as an opportunity to practice your new skills! Ages 18+ are welcome to apply (14+ with a parent attending).
